Weekly reports help you see what happened in Aletheia without reading every tutoring session one by one.
Weekly reports are included with the Starter, Family, and Family+ plans. See Subscription Plans.
What Weekly Reports Include
Each weekly email covers the last 7 days and has a section for each active child. Depending on what your child did that week, it can include:
- A highlight of the week.
- Minutes spent learning (an estimate based on tutoring session activity).
- Quizzes completed and the average quiz score.
- The number of concepts mastered.
- Subject progress, with each subject's average quiz score where available.
- Notable achievements, such as topics completed, concepts mastered, and avatar rewards unlocked.
- Areas to revisit, with a suggestion for each.
- A dinner-table conversation starter based on what they learned.
If a child had little or no activity that week, their section will be short.
For full detail, use the parent dashboard to review conversations and subject progress.
Who Receives Reports
- Each parent account in the family receives its own email if weekly reports are turned on for that account.
- One email covers all of the family's active children. Archived children are not included.
- Weekly reports are turned on by default for new parent accounts.
- Caregivers do not receive weekly reports.
In families with more than one parent, make sure each parent signs in with their own parent account so each person can choose their own report settings.
Turn Reports On or Off and Choose the Day
- Sign in as a parent.
- Go to Settings, then Notifications.
- In the Weekly Learning Reports section, turn Send me weekly learning reports on or off.
- If reports are on, pick a day in Send reports on.
- Select Save Preferences.
Note: Use the Weekly Learning Reports section to control report emails. The switches in the Notifications section at the top of that page (Email Notifications, Push Notifications, Weekly Reports, and Quiz Results) are not saved yet and don't change what you receive.
When Reports Arrive
Reports are sent on the day you choose. That day is based on a UTC calendar, and the send time isn't fixed, so depending on your time zone the email may arrive late the day before or during the day after your chosen day.
If a report hasn't arrived by the day after your chosen day, check your spam or junk folder before contacting support.
The Reports Page
Select Reports in the parent menu to see Recent Reports. Each card summarizes one child's last 7 days, including highlights, the number of quizzes completed, and the average quiz score.
- A child appears only if they had learning activity in the last 7 days.
- The page shows the current week only. It does not keep a history of past weeks, so keep your weekly emails if you want a record.
In-App Notifications
The bell icon at the top of the parent portal shows notifications for your parent account. For example, you may be notified when:
- A weekly report is ready.
- Your child finishes a placement test.
- A study guide is ready.
- Your child flags a flashcard for review.
- Your child completes a subject.
- A co-parent accepts or declines an invitation.
Select a notification to open it, use Mark all read to clear the unread count, or delete a notification you no longer need.
Aletheia doesn't currently send browser push notifications to parents.
Account Emails
Report settings only control weekly report emails. Account emails, such as email verification and password resets, are still sent. Billing emails and receipts are handled by Stripe. See Billing Questions & Issues.
If a Report Looks Wrong
Check:
- Whether your child used the same profile all week.
- Whether the activity happened within the last 7 days before the report was sent.
- Whether the child was archived (archived children are left out of reports).
- Whether your parent email address is current, and whether reports are turned on for your account.
If a report is missing or clearly incorrect, or a child with recent activity is missing from the Reports page, contact support with the child's display name and the week in question.
