Subjects are the main learning tracks inside each child profile. Parents can add subjects, adjust placements, remove subjects that are no longer needed, and restore them later when appropriate.
Adding a Subject
- Sign in as a parent.
- Open the child's profile.
- Go to the Subjects tab.
- Choose Add Subject.
- Select the subject and follow any placement or setup prompts.
Aletheia may recommend subjects based on the child's grade package, but you can decide what to include.
Removing or Archiving a Subject
When a child stops working on a subject, use the subject management controls from the child's profile. Removing a subject hides it from the child's active dashboard and keeps the learning space focused.
Removed or archived subjects are different from deleting the entire child profile. The child profile, account access, and other subjects remain available.
Restoring a Subject
If a child needs the subject again:
- Open the child profile from the parent dashboard.
- Go to Subjects.
- Look for removed or archived subjects.
- Choose Restore.
After restoring, review the placement and recent progress before the child starts a new session.
Permanent Deletion
Some subject data may be eligible for permanent deletion. This is more serious than removing a subject from the active dashboard.
Permanent deletion can remove related learning data such as:
- Placement assessment results.
- Topic progress and mastery records.
- Study guides tied to that subject.
- Subject-specific generated content or marketplace copies.
Because permanent deletion cannot be undone, Aletheia may ask for explicit confirmation before completing it.
What Parents Should Check First
Before permanently deleting a subject:
- Make sure you do not only want to hide it temporarily.
- Export or review anything you may need later.
- Confirm the child is not actively using the subject.
- Consider restoring later instead if you are unsure.
When in doubt, remove/archive first and use permanent deletion only when you are sure the data should be erased.
