A study guide is a summary of the important ideas in one of your subjects. It's great for reviewing before a quiz or test.
Opening a Study Guide
There are two ways:
- On Home, tap the Study Guide button on a subject card.
- In a tutoring session, open the topics panel and tap Study Guide.
What's Inside
A study guide covers the topics in your subject, written for your age. It can have headings, key ideas, examples, and lists to help you review.
To get a paper copy, tap Print Study Guide (Print for younger kids).
No Study Guide Yet?
Some subjects come with a study guide ready to go. For others, you'll see No Study Guide Available (No study guide yet! for younger kids). Ask your parent to make one for you.
If your guide is still being made, the page says so and updates by itself when it's ready. It can take a few minutes.
Study Guides, Flashcards, and Tutor Chats
- Study guide â one summary of the whole subject to read and review.
- Flashcards â quick questions that come back over time to help you remember.
- Tutor chats â where you actually learn, practice, and ask questions. See Using the AI Tutor.
For Parents: Making or Updating a Guide
- Open your child's page from Children.
- Click Study Guide on the subject (it's also on the subject's own page).
- Click Generate Study Guide.
Generation runs in the background, so you don't have to wait on the page. Your child sees the guide as soon as it's ready.
If you change the subject's topics or teaching guidance later, the guide shows a message that it's out of date. Click Update guide to make a new one.
