Aletheia's AI tutor is like a patient teacher you can talk to whenever you need help learning.

Starting a Session

  1. Sign in with your family code + PIN, or with your email address if your parent set one up.
  2. From your dashboard, choose a subject or topic.
  3. Click Start Learning.
  4. Answer the tutor's first question or tell it what you want help with.

The tutor follows your learning path and uses your grade level, placement, and progress to choose the right level.

How the Tutor Teaches

Your tutor works like a real teacher in a conversation:

  • Asks questions first to find out what you know.
  • Explains concepts using words and examples that fit your level.
  • Gives practice problems after teaching.
  • Checks understanding before moving on.
  • Uses quick-answer buttons when multiple choice is helpful.
  • Lets you type answers when you need to explain your thinking.
  • Creates visual explanations when diagrams or steps would help.

What Your Tutor Can Help With

  • Math - arithmetic, fractions, algebra, geometry, word problems.
  • Reading & Writing - comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, essays.
  • Science - biology, chemistry, physics, earth science.
  • History & Social Studies - events, people, timelines, geography.
  • Languages - vocabulary, grammar, and practice conversations where available.
  • Any other subjects - your parent can create and assign you custom subjects on any nearly any topic imaginable.

Homework Help with Photos

If you are stuck on homework, you can type the problem or upload a clear photo. The tutor will help with hints and steps instead of just dumping the answer.

Study Guides and Flashcards

Aletheia can help you review after learning:

  • Study Guides summarize important ideas from a subject or topic.
  • Flashcards help you practice facts and concepts over time.
  • Quizzes check whether you are ready to move forward.

If something feels too easy or too hard, tell the tutor. It can adjust its explanation.

Tips for Great Sessions

  • Be honest when you do not understand.
  • Ask "why?" or "can you explain it another way?"
  • Try the first step before asking for the answer.
  • Use scratch paper for math.
  • Come back regularly to keep your streak going.

Text-to-Speech

If available on your device, use the volume or audio controls to have tutor messages read aloud. This can help when long explanations are easier to hear than read.
