Homework Helper lets you bring a homework question into Aletheia when you are stuck. The goal is to help you understand the work, not just hand you an answer.

What Homework Helper Can Do

Homework Helper can:

  • Read a typed homework question.
  • Look at an uploaded image of a worksheet or problem.
  • Explain what the question is asking.
  • Give hints and step-by-step guidance.
  • Help you check your reasoning.
  • Show how to solve a similar problem next time.

How to Use It

  1. Start a tutoring session.
  2. Choose the subject that matches your homework.
  3. Type your question or upload a clear photo.
  4. Tell the tutor what part is confusing.
  5. Try each step before asking for the next hint.

Tips for Uploading Photos

For best results:

  • Take the photo in good light.
  • Keep the whole problem visible.
  • Avoid blurry or tilted pictures.
  • Crop out unrelated private information.
  • Upload one page or problem at a time.

Why the Tutor Gives Hints

Aletheia uses a Socratic style for homework help. That means the tutor asks guiding questions and gives hints so you can do the thinking.

You might see prompts like:

  • "What information do we already know?"
  • "Which formula or rule might apply here?"
  • "Try the first step, then show me what you got."

That can feel slower than just getting the answer, but it helps the skill stick.

Common Issues

The image will not upload
Try a smaller image, a different browser, or a stronger connection.

The tutor misread the photo
Type the problem out or upload a clearer picture.

The tutor will not give the final answer right away
That is intentional. Ask for a hint, an example, or help checking your work.

The homework uses a method from class
Tell the tutor what method your teacher wants you to use so it can match the explanation.
